The New Churchy Media
Posted by on Sunday, August 2, 2009
This blog has gone through many seasons. It started out as my outlet to write about media. It quickly changed to pointing others to new media. Next I started podcasting audio. Then audio and video. I'll just stop there.
Well the winds of change are blowing again. What started out as a fun "sure why not" thing for me, has turned into a real source of information for church media gurus. This past week at the Echo Conference I spoke in two breakouts about connecting between Sundays. I talked mostly about how I am using free video services to well, connect between Sundays. I met some amazing people at Echo that God used to really help me understand what he's calling me to do.
So starting today this blog will be focused on "Video For The Rest Of Us". I love video and video production. Being in a small church with a small budget has really helped me figure out how to get incredible picture quality from consumer cameras. I've figured out how to pull great keys from green screen, get quality lighting for cheap and everything else that involves cutting corners but not cutting quality.
So what's the point? God didn't give me all this information to keep it to myself. I am to use it for him everyday, period. I am going to pour my heart and soul into equipping you out there in your small church with your crappy budget so you can reach this culture for Christ.
Ready?
